Description
Buckwheat is different from traditional wheat and its scientific name Polygonum fagopyrum derives from the fact that the seeds resemble those of the beech (fagus). It has a high protein content and is also rich in fiber and mineral salts, such as iron, zinc, copper, potassium and selenium, as well as B vitamins.
